Rice Creek Studio is operated by James LaChance. James has had the privilege to work with some of the finest architects, artists and craftspeople internationally. He credits these talented individuals with helping him develop his skills in creating high quality work.
He received his M.F.A. from the University of Washington in Seattle. He attended Minnesota State University Moorhead where he received a B.S. in Art Education and a B.A. in Fine Arts. James's work has been featured in Dwell, Metropolitan Home, Minnesota Monthly, Blu Dot, Better Homes and Gardens, Ceramics Monthly and the Star Tribune to name a few.
He has received grant awards from the Jerome Foundation and Minnesota State Arts Board.
